It was a family member's birthday and I wanted to give them something a little different. Since they love coke so much, I decided to make them a coke can cake with a bouquet topper. It was a little last minute, so it's not as fancy as I want it to be. I had to make do with what I had on hand. It's still cute though, I thought.
For the bouquet topper, I made mine a little different from the norm where most people put a styrofoam ball on the top so they can put the sticks in. Well, I didn't have a styrofoam ball on hand, so instead I poured out the coke, cut off the top, covered the edges with clear tape (so no one gets cut, especially me), added some river rocks I had laying around, and inserted the candies that were stuck onto skewers. Here's what it looked like cut open with rocks inside.
Can't tell when you look at the finish bouquet, right?
Hope you enjoyed!
